Data reliability and multi-user compatibility

Reliable by design. Controlled by the customer.

JSBS Core is a native Windows application with a local Core / Solo deployment and a shared JSBS Team deployment. The customer controls where the database and backups live rather than being forced into a public-cloud data model.

Customer-controlled data

The database runs on customer equipment or equipment procured for the deployment. Access and retention remain under the customer's operating policy.

Multi-user Team deployment

Multiple licensed seats or devices connect to one shared database, giving engineering, manufacturing, and operations one common register instead of separate copies.

Visible backup controls

Data & Backups gives the operation a clear place to manage backup and recovery workflows around the customer's chosen storage strategy.

One source of truth

Shared records, links, and reports reduce the risk created by isolated spreadsheets, copied logs, and outdated local files.

Questions

What to know before choosing JSBS Core.

Is Core / Solo different software from JSBS Team?

The current application workflows are the same. Team licensing adds a shared database deployment for multiple licensed seats or devices, while Core / Solo uses an individually controlled workspace.

Who controls the database and backups?

The customer does. The database runs on customer equipment or equipment procured for the deployment, and the customer chooses the operating policies around access, storage, backup, retention, and off-site copies.

What does “everything is connected” mean?

Projects, CAD records, ECOs, tasks, manufacturing notes, BOMs, inventory, vendors, customers, reports, and other records can reference one another. Opening a record exposes the related context so users can move through the work without repeating the same search in separate logs.

Can I print records or save them as PDFs?

Yes. Structured records such as BOMs, ECOs, project summaries, task lists, and other supported outputs can be generated as clean documents for paper use or digital PDF storage.

Does JSBS Core work without future automation add-ons?

Yes. The current product includes the connected engineering, BOM, inventory, MRP purchasing, commercial-document, pricing-history, receiving, search, reporting, and backup workflows. Future CAD, manufacturing-package, planning, and communication automation is optional.

How do monthly and annual subscriptions renew?

Subscriptions renew automatically at the selected monthly or annual interval until canceled. Annual billing provides the equivalent of two months free compared with twelve monthly payments. Cancellation is available through Stripe and takes effect at the end of the paid billing period.

What does Universal Perpetual v1 include?

It grants one licensed seat or device permanent use of JSBS Core v1.x with both Solo and Team connection rights. All v1.x updates are included. A future major version such as v2, Team database setup, equipment, custom work, and ongoing support services are separate unless expressly included in the order.

Is database setup billed every year?

No. The $1,000 customer-equipment option or $1,500 JSBS-procured-equipment option is a one-time setup service for a new shared Team environment. Additional seats do not require another setup charge.

Does checkout calculate tax?

Yes. Automatic tax calculation is enabled in Stripe Checkout, with the final amount based on the customer and transaction details collected there.

How are the installer and license delivered?

After a completed Stripe checkout, JSBS securely verifies the purchase and opens the current Windows installer downloads. Solo receives the Core installer. Team and Universal Perpetual v1 receive both the Core and Team Database installers. The optional one-time database setup is a professional deployment service, not a fee to unlock the installer. License details are sent automatically by email, and future versions are delivered through the protected in-app update services.

Is JSBS Core an MRP system today?

Yes. The current release connects BOMs, inventory, vendors, RFQs, purchasing, receiving, pricing history, invoices, and packing slips in one database. Deeper automatic shortage, scheduling, and production-planning features remain on the roadmap.

Does JSBS Core replace every ERP or PLM system?

JSBS Core is a connected manufacturing-operations and engineering platform with current MRP purchasing and commercial workflows, plus deeper planning and automation on the roadmap. It can replace many disconnected logs and focused workflows, and it can complement larger ERP or PLM systems. It is not positioned as a replacement for every finance, accounting, payroll, or enterprise-planning requirement.
